Thalassemia Clinic at CTBD –  26th September 2019

Participants: Dr Ramana , Mrs Jaya , Mrs Rani, Mrs Bharathi , Dr Srikar Mane and Mrs Jayanthi.


Financial Assistance- 19th August 2019:


7 patients received financial assistance of Rs 17,000 each for medical treatment. This would not have been possible without the support of Donors. We take this opportunity to thank all.




Vijayawada Camp: 25th Aug 2019

Venue : Shikara school

Thalassemia Clinic @ Redcross Society, Vidya Nagar

CCF Organised free clinic for Thalassemia patients at Redcross on 14th Aug between 4PM and 6PM.

8 patients attended the clinic. Dr. Ramana(Hematology) , Dr NItin Krishna(Cardiology )and Dr. Pitchi Reddy guided the patients on management of Thalassemia.

2D echo was done by Dr Nitin Krishna for all the patients .

Volunteers Jaya , Hemanth, Martha and Shilaja participated.

Thalassemia clinic @  Centre for Thalassemia and blood disorders, Hyderabad

CCF organized free checkup for Thalassemia patients at CTBD on 31st July between 4PM and 6PM.

11 patients attended the clinic. Dr. Ramana and Dr. Saifulla guided the patients on management of Thalassemia.

Volunteers Jaya , Hemanth, Bharathi , Rani participated.

Kadapa Medical Camp- 24 July 2019

CCF organised a Free medical checkup for Thalassemia community at RIMS, kadapa on 24th of July

71 patients and families participated. Dr Ramana( Hematology), Dr Shrikar mane (Pediatric Dental), Dr Kishore (Endocrinology), Dr Saifulla (Medical Officer), Dr Murtaza( Cardiology), Miss Rani (Nurse at CTBD Transfusion centre) and volunteers from Thalassemia and blood disorders society, Kadapa joined together and guided the patients on the management of Thalassemia.

Dental checkup for all kids, Indirect pulp capping treatments, Pulpotomy procedures, Scaling, Restorations were done free of cost for children during the camp.

2D echo and Tissue doppler were done by Dr Murtaza for all the kids to monitor the iron overload due to transfusions. Local PG students also participated and were educated on the same during the activity.

Endocrine checkup and assessment was done by Dr Kishore  and Diet and Drug administration were explained by Sister Rani with Charts.

We thank Thalassemia Society Kadapa , RIMS Hospital, Kadapa for all the arrangements during the camp.

July 7 – CME on Thalassemia – Quality of Life

CCF organized an educational program for Doctors and service providers on the management of Thalassemia in association with Little Stars Children’s Hospital on 7th of July.IMG_3231IMG_3205

Many eminent speakers and doctors were invited and service providers from Telangana and Andhra Region  participated in the one day program.  Dr Stalin Ramprakash from Bangalore shared his insights on Bone Marrow Transplant for Thalassemia community.
